Cambridge Golden Vegetable Flavouring – 4.8 Calories Per 250ml Serving
Cambridge Golden Vegetable flavour is a powder which you can use in hot water to make a cuppa soup type snack in between your usual CWP packs during the day or to sprinkle over your meals to spice them up a little. You can have 1 serving as a hot drink each day if you want (water consumption is dependent on which plan you follow so speak to your consultant if you are unsure)
To make up as a hot snack you need a level teaspoon (5g) of the powder mixed with 250 ml of hot water and this is only 4.8 calories. When you first lift the lid don’t be put off by the odd smell as it doesn’t smell to pleasant until you mix it with the water but it does taste rather nice and of vegetable as you would expect (like a slimmer soup of the same flavour). Obviously it is a little weak and watery but this can really cure those hunger pangs in between your CWP packs and can be a nice substitute for coffee or tea if you want to try something different.
This product is suitable for vegetarians and vegans and you need to use it within 6 weeks of first opening it. The entire pack will provide 25 servings so it will last quite a long time and good value for money at only 24p a cup. You can make it last longer too as a full level teaspoon can make it a little too strong so I tend to use only half per cup meaning I get 50 cups out of a pack
