Cambridge Maple & Pecan Porridge – 144 Calories
Cambridge Weight Plan’s Maple & Pecan Porridge is one of the three porridge options available on the plan. It has the same calorie count as the apple & cinnamon but is certainly a sweeter option overall.
I find adding a little ground cinnamon to this porridge gives it a little spice and curbs the sweet taste. This is perfect as a breakfast option but you can consume it anytime in the day if you wish so if you are on the sole source plan (3 CWP packs per day only) you could have it as an evening meal type option – so you do have flexibility.
Made with 140ml (5 floz) of hot water you mix the packet contents in a bowl and then microwave for 1 minute and stir. As with all Cambridge products consuming it within 15 minutes ensures you receive the full nutritional benefit. You should not reheat the porridge once made or store it. As you would expect it has an oaty taste like proper porridge so it doesn’t taste odd just because it is a diet pack porridge.
As part of the weight plan you should also consume 3-4 pints of water throughout the day (talk to your consultant if you are unsure of your water consumption as water is key to the success of the diet)
