Week 19 – Something New – Frustrated & Apprehensive At The Same Time

losing-weightOK so I knew this time would come when much to my frustration Cambridge Weight Plan would become beyond my financial reach as we are saving for our wedding like madonly 5 months away now in September 2013.…so what am I going to do??

There is no other choice as every spare penny counts right now and I have weighed up all the options in the last couple of weeks stressing about what to do, as Ive been paying for my packs plus food as I am on step 3 (approx £45 a week all in) which would be a weeks shopping for two roughly maybe give or take £10 or £20.

I have had an amazing journey on Cambridge so far losing 3 stone in only 18 weeks and hope to return to it but the last couple of weeks I have been thinking about alternatives as there is no way I’m going back to my old self, Ive got 3 stone to go and It will be off when I walk down that aisle, no question about it!!

So before everyone starts saying stuff and annoying things like “oh you will just put it back on again etc.etc.” I 100% guarantee this will NOT happen and I will prove it as this website will continue to support my Cambridge dieter readership and participate in the Facebook groups as I have been and I will also continue my weekly updates and I will be losing still! but I am hoping to attract a Slimming World readership along the way too.

And you know another reason why it wont happen??

Cambridge is not just a liquid diet, I have been having breakfast and evening meals for weeks, the only thing I have to do replace is roughly 300 calories (my 2 Cambridge packs per day) keep drinking my water and apply all the great things I have learned in the last 4 months…the biggest of all which is PORTION CONTROLLING especially carbs

losing-weightSo I am gong to do a hybrid diet, a Cambridge (weights & portions) & Slimming World type plan. Basically I intend to stick to the carb weights from Cambridge as they are similar to Slimming World anyway, plus keep up my water, no/little alcohol etc all the best stuff from Cambridge, then apply Slimming World free foods etc to the mix to keep my food low fat, low sins and follow the Original Plan (red) for that reason and not Extra Easy. I know it can work so here goes, week 1 on the CambridgeSlimmingWorld hybrid diet :-)

I know I am having a bit of a joke here but continue to follow my journey and read my website and you will see it can be done :-) I also intend to share all my food diaries too and help, tips, and stuff as much as I can to help anyone faced with the same temporary problem.

I joined my local Slimming World group last night who are a very friendly bunch and I am really looking forward to the next step in my journey – I even left early as they were having a taster evening so I just went straight home and read through the books and magazine instead of staying and eating as I wanted to get on with it straight away and learn the plan again so I know what I am doing :-)

Don’t worry my Cambridge Dieter friends this website and the recipes (and I will continue to add them also) and all the info and tips on here will always be here! and I hope you get something out of following my journey to the end which is not that far away :-)

I am a consultant for a new diet launching April 8th. The plan is much cheaper than Cambridge, just over £1 per meal, contains no Aspartame or other modified ingredients, tastes much nicer in comparison and we are offering anyone currently following the Cambridge plan a weeks free trial, 28 sachets!
