Week 37 2 1/2 Lbs Loss – 3 Days To Go To Final Wedding Dress Fitting

wedding dresses examplesThis week I kinda expected to lose a decent bit as I had a poor 1/2lb loss the week before and was chuffed when I saw another 2 1/2 lb loss on the scale last week (sorry I am a bit late writing this post busy bee with wedding arrangements etc.)

This brings me to a point where I only need to lose 1 1/2 lbs this Wednesday night to hit a total of 4 1/2 stone loss, this will also mean that I collect my club 10 award from Slimming world and my 1 1/2 stone award too which will be nice to get them together.

I am already thinking beyond the wedding though and trying to put together some new goals to ensure I get to target (6 stone loss) by the end of November which will mean I would have lost 6 stones in a year, and would be nice if I achieved that. People keep asking me if I will continue with this website and blogging my journey after I hit target weight, YES OF COURSE I WILL :-) as hitting target is just another mini goal, next is maintaining the weight which is going to be my biggest challenge to date but I am very focused and will never go back to my old self ever again so I hope its not that difficult, being in the right frame of mind is key and as I have said many times this is a life change for me not just a change for my wedding.

So as the big day on the 6th September 2013 approaches, very rapidly now I may add, there are a few awesome weeks to come and things are getting very exciting, here is a quick run down of the coming events and dates¬† as I keep on banging on about it cause I am so excited and can’t wait for it to come round :-) plus some challenging eating and drinking events too which I am getting a little worried about on how I am going to cope with.

Friday 16th August – final wedding dress fitting (this Friday)
Friday 23rd – Sunday 25th August – Hen weekend – woohoo
Thursday 29th August – hair cuts
Saturday 31st August – nails, general last minute bits and packing
Sunday 1st September – JET OFF TO CYPRUS (ALL INCLUSIVE 2 WEEKS)
Monday 2nd September – meet with wedding co-ordinator in Cyprus to go through everything
Friday 6th September 2013 – OUR BIG DAY – WE GET MARRIED
Sunday 15th September – return home & OFF work all that week, bonus
Saturday 21st September – home party/reception – OK a general @iss up lets not kid ourselves :-)

Food & Drink Challenges – how will I get through it?

The hen do is going to be fraught with food and alcohol, 2 weeks all inclusive and the home party alcohol binge fest.

  • How the heck am I going to get through this all without a gain on the scales?
  • Should I just enjoy it but within reason and try and stay on plan as much as I can?

I would really appreciate some comments on the bottom of this post as to what you think and any tips you can share on how I can ensure I keep things under control as much as possible, cheers guys and look forward to reading your advice and tips.

    You have done brilliantly ! I wish i had your motivation ,enjoy your hen weekend make sure to eat to soak the alcohol or it will go straight to your head lol ! just make sure that its clean food and not too many processed food and as for you wedding and honeymoon relax enjoy and swim and walk to keep a balance and start again when you come home ! have a wonderful few weeks well done for what you have achieved and best of luck for the future …..Linda
