Week 40 – Refocused BigTime After Honeymoon – 11 Week Xmas Countdown

karen on own wedding photoOK so I admit it has taken me two or three weeks since I returned from our fabulous wedding and honeymoon in Cyprus to get back on track with Slimming World again. This proves anyone can lose focus even the most focused people can have a lapse, but the important thing is to admit you cannot carry on the way you are, take the gain with a smile, go back to class and remember why you are there and what you have achieved so far. Its a life change, there really is no other way!

This is officially week 40 on my diet journey and I lost 4 1/2 stone for my wedding dress and ensure I felt good about myself and the wedding pictures. I did have a gain during which was expected and the fun is now over it is time to refocus and get within 7 lbs of my target before Christmas. That is only 11 weeks away but I am taking it one week at a time, going back to class properly this week and hearing some other people stories about how they have let things go a bit in the last few weeks really helped me refocus on going back to the basics, making my recipes, eating to plan and enjoying more weight loss success again.

I have found the last 3 weeks really hard to say no to bad foods like bread and milk and chocolate and even found myself putting sugar in my coffee, i felt some of those bad habit returning – so I stopped the rot quickly! I have enjoyed the new me too much to give up, although I think buying new clothes needs to stop for a while as I feel like I am spending a fortune :-)

My plan for the next 11 weeks – is to lose an average 2lbs per week and I am going to give it 100% effort, this will mean that I will then only be 9 lbs off my target weight.

I think once the wedding was over because I had been so focused on it for such a long time I had no other goals to aim towards as I didn’t need one. So the 11 weeks Christmas Countdown is something I have put into place myself to ensure I keep focused and keep hitting mini goals all the way to target – I am 40 in January so to be at target weight for then would be amazing so that’s my next big goal – you need goals to keep you focused for sure and I know I can do it……..

So weigh in is Wednesday night and I want to see a 2lbs loss on those scales nothing less is good enough……
