Hunters Chicken – Slimming World Style 1/2 Syn on Extra Easy

slimming world hunters chickenHunters Chicken is totally one of my favourite meals when I go to a Harvester pub or out for a meal somewhere (non posh :-) but it is usually loaded with calories and fat. My taste buds like it but my body doesn’t :-)

However this recipe for Hunters Chicken is only 1/2 a Syn on the Extra Easy plan if you use the cheese as your healthy extra a choice – wow how good is that.

I do love cheese so I have to be careful not to eat too much of it but this dish is fabulous and by using my HEA I can make sure I do not over do it on the cheese :-) although it is tempting to add more make sure you dont as it wont be 1/2 Syn otherwise.

This is absolutely gorgeous and the sauce is to die for and so much nicer than a pub BBQ sauce which is loaded with sugar :-) make sure you use level tbsp for the sauce mixture though as again it needs to be level tbsp to ensure the syn value is right.

I found the sauce a little runny, just wondered if right measures.

I’ve just made this and reduced my sauce by bringing it to the boil on the hob and then simmer for approx 15-20minutes spoons on lovely

fantastic recipe really enjoyed making this for myself and the mrs as we are both slimming world fanatics! I too found the sauce to be very very runny, is there anyway of thickening the bbq sauce?

  3. Margaret McGechie says:

made this for dinner last night after SW class. It was delicious. Going to use this sauce for other recipes

  4. Alex says:

I added 1/2 teaspoon of corn flour mixed with a splash of cold water. Heated in pan gently. Soon as it started to thicken removed from heat.
Now it’s the consistency of the runny honey I used to make it. Yum.

  5. Marilyn says:

Sauce much too runny and tasted only of balsamic vinegar, I did reduce the sauce on the hob after cooking, although it thickened eventually it did not taste good at all. So, we will not be trying this one again.
