Syn Free Béchamel Sauce Perfect for Lasagna & Moussaka Dishes
Its a fabulous little recipe and one to keep handy.
People get confused and think its a cheese sauce but it isn’t. This recipe uses quark but try it before you are turned off by that as I promise you its a great tasting sauce and completely syn free too.
- 260g quark
- 2-3 tbsp fat free fromage frais
- 2 eggs
- Pinch of nutmeg.
- In a large bowl beat the quark until smooth.
- Add the fromage frais and mix together.
- In a separate bowl lightly beat the eggs then add to the sauce.
- Mix in with a pinch of nutmeg.
- Top the lasagne or Moussaka
